Feet firmly under the table

This weekend, I've been pushing my luck, my Mummy says.

Who needs to keep up what I've learned with housetraining? And what kind of fluffy long coated dog actually needs to learn to like being groomed? Why can't I bite and growl in protest, isn't that what doggies do? I had a bath when I got dirty digging, and I was good for that, what more can you ask (and I sooooooooooooo didn't dig the big hole with the root in it, and it wasn't me who removed any of the root and carry it in my mouth down the garden).

Sunday was fun. Mummy carried me to a big park because my sisters needed a walk, but I'm not allowed to do that just yet, because I'm not big enough. Ha! I got cuddled. A lot. Mummy couldn't walk far because she kept getting stopped and people kept saying how lovely I am. She bought an ice cream cone then went to tie up her shoe lace (wooo great fun they are, best dog chasing invention yet, in a house people wearing them get all tangled up with me and we end up rolling on the floor- fantastic) and I nearly got the cone. Need to work on the technique for that one a bit harder.

Meg and Cassie got worn out.

It was a beautiful park though:

Today I have been to work with Mummy again. That was reaaaaaaaaally hard work. Before we went out, Mummy caught me curled up in bed with Cassie. She let me have a snooze all cuddled up to her nice warm belly. I got out when Mum saw us before she could get a camera. Must remember never to let her see that sort of soppiness again. I'm a boy dog remember, I do not curl up and sleep with my sisters. OK? And don't go around telling anyone I did.

I had to have a sleep at the office when we got there.

Then I went outside for a wee. Then I came indoors for another wee. Ooops.

Then Mum went out to go and see something important and I went outside for a wee with the lady who adds up numbers for Mummy.

Then I came indoors and did a poo by the photocopier and everyone had to open the windows. That was fun!!!!!!

Now I'm home. I've had tea, I've had another bath (long fur is a bit embarrassing when you really really need the loo *blushes*) and growled again when I was being groomed, and now I'm asleep in front of the fire. Again.

Hard life this.

Jimmy's House

Today , I went to Jimmy's House.

Jimmy is my cousin and he's a mad springer spaniel. He plays... lots. He gave me his football and we learned to run around and round and round the garden. lots. Then, my auntie Daryl who looks after me on thursdays and fridays, she's Jimmy's mummy, had some friends round for coffee. I got spoiled :) :) Everybody loves me and says I'm very very very handsome, which is true, of course. :P

I went outside the front for a bit with Daryl and she said to me... "oh come on Muppet". The postman wasn't very happy when he happened to walk past and said "I hope you're talking to the dog..." and Daryl had to explain that I am Muppet. Dunno why he got so upset.

Then little Erin and Thomas came back from school and we played a lot but they don't like me biting their hair. Then I fell asleep. Again. I do that a lot. Have you noticed?

My mummy had to go to London for a meeting so when she came home to get me it was quite a bit late and I was asleep in my crate where Daryl puts me when i fall asleep (apparently it will get me used to it so I don't scream when I'm in it. ha! yeah right.) and Tom and Erin had put a blanket over me so I was nice and warm and cosy. I didn't wake up when Mummy came home cos I was sooooooooooooo tired and it was only after she'd eaten her tea with everyone that I realised she was back! Then I played a bit more with Jimmy but it was time to come home to my sisters.

I've eaten ALL my dinner tonight for the first time - it's hungry work playing with Jimmy all day. Then I went in the garden all by myself to have a wee and now I'm going to do some more sleeping. Of course.

This is Jimmy.

And this is me and Erin.

Today I had my third day in the office. I like it there.

I sleep. Sometimes I get up and play. Then I sleep.

I go for a wee on the grass outside (sometimes, but this lady called a secretary hasn't got the hang of how to persuade me. Hahahaha she is good at cleaning the floor the minute I get back in the office.

Then I sleep.

When I wake up, I go into the big part of the office near mum's room and get someone to play with me. Today I had a ball game with a ball made of paper. Mum said that playing with someone's speeding fine notice wasn't a very good idea but it made a good ball and the man who threw it for me didn't seem to mind and he muttered something about speed limits and silliness.

Then I sleep.

Mum went out for something she calls appointments and she went out for 2 whole hours today. I slept under her desk and stayed there till she came back. Then we had a lesson in sitting. That's silly, why would I sit when I can play with paper balls?

My sisters Meg and Cassie had told me that on the other side of the toilet, there is another door that Mum might disappear through so it's important to follow her in every time she goes there. They're dead stupid aren't they. I saw her go there and I went to sit under her desk until she came back - and she did!! Now I can tell my sisters how incredibly stupid they are.

At home we practised training some more.

I CAN SIT!!!

Now, I'm going to sleep.

Arrival. Scary.

It's scary being a Muppet. Firstly you get a silly name (even when you have a posh one), and then you get taken away from all your brothers and sisters and taken to a strange house with new sisters, and silly things called cats, one of which doesn't even look remotely like a cat.

My brown sister, Cassie: well she's a bit nuts. I'm told that, once upon a time she was smaller than my head (I reckon her brain might still be). She thinks playing is good fun but thinks that he way to play is to pin me to the ground with a single paw. I bite her. She doesn't listen to me. She will, you wait.

My black cat sister. The Whale (she is a big girl lol). She isn't sure of me. I chase her. Only a bit... but she runs away and it's funny. I think so. My bald sister, Cleo, she's wierd. She likes me, I think, but Mum says it's cos I look like a hot water bottle, whatever that is.

Firstly, I made myself at home. I found the garden and only had one wee in the house. It's a good start, mum says.
